Head of the Academic Affairs Department

Job Overview:

Tashkent Tech, a next-generation STEM university, is seeking a visionary and experienced Head of the Academic Affairs Department. Reporting to the Rector or Vice-Rector for Academic Affairs, you will be responsible for the strategic leadership, operational management, and quality assurance of all academic programs as the university prepares for its full launch in September 2026.

Key Responsibilities:

• Academic Strategy & Governance: Develop and implement academic policies and governance frameworks aligned with international standards and national regulations.
• Curriculum Management: Oversee the development and periodic review of innovative, industry-relevant curricula for undergraduate and graduate programs.
• Operational Oversight: Manage the credit-module system, academic calendars, course registration, and the production of class and examination timetables.
• Faculty Coordination: Manage faculty workloads, performance evaluations, and professional development initiatives.
• Student Academic Records: Ensure the integrity and accuracy of students’ academic data, transcripts, and graduation requirements.

Minimum Qualifications:

• Education: A Doctoral degree (PhD/DSc) in Engineering, Technology, or a related STEM field is highly preferred.
• Experience: At least 5 years of academic leadership experience (e.g., as Head of Department or Dean) in a higher education institution.
• Language Skills: Fluency in Uzbek or Russian. Proficiency in English (C1 level) is required.
• Technical Skills: Strong command of academic management systems and data analysis tools.
• Accreditation Knowledge: Proven experience with international accreditation bodies and outcomes-based education.
