The opportunity:
As a Financial Controller, you'll utilize advanced knowledge of firm policies, systems, and processes to perform complex accounting activities and mentor less experienced staff. You'll be expected to analyze transactions and compile complex account reconciliations with a high degree of independence and autonomy. You'll play a key role as a subject-matter resource to identify risks and improve operational efficiencies with the opportunity to gain recognition as a valuable Finance team member.
Your key responsibilities:
- Preparation of EY’s annual budget, forecast of the budget within the financial year
- Consolidate and analyze financial data (budgets, income statement forecasts, etc) taking into account EY’s goals and financial standing
- Performing reporting procedures in accordance with internal control requirements and international financial reporting standards
- Coordinate with other members of the finance team to review financial information and forecasts
- Track and determine financial status by analyzing actual results in comparison with forecasts
- Analyze Management and Statutory accounts and prepare regular Budget vs Actual reconciliations. As per reconciliation results – prepare an explanation of differences and control proper adjustments if needed by communicating with related departments.
- Supervision of the financial policies, accounting procedures changes/ preparations
To qualify for the role, you must have:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting or Finance
- At least 3-5 years of proven experience in auditing and finance
- Familiarity with tax, labor, and civil codes and effective legislation
- Experience in SAP is preferred
- Proficiency in MS Office programs
- Leadership, communication, and relationship-building skills
- Demonstrated ability to work effectively, attention to detail, and accountability
- Fluency in English and Russian (both verbal and oral fluency is mandatory)
- Candidates with ACCA F5 and F7 papers are preferred
