This Planning specialist will report directly to the Project Manager and indirectly to the Global EPC Planning Manager and will have the following responsibilities:
- Manage and maintain the project schedules and plans with the objective to meet contractual requirements and targets with cost savings.
- Strong Microsoft Project knowledge
- Managing the interdependencies of project workflow in an organized manner. Provide critical path analysis supporting with what-if/ scenario planning.
- Carrying out sanity/quality checks on plans and schedules to ensure compliance to best industry practice.
- Monitoring program workflows and raising early warnings notices for identified risks.
- Analyse subcontractor’s program including critical path analysis, risk analysis, program quality checks and any required improvements.
- Monitoring and regular reporting of project progress (critical paths) and ensuring proactive information in case of project time / float slippage.
- Conduct periodic project planning reviews with project teams to forecast any foreseen early warnings which may impact project completion dates.
- Have previously carried out the planning of renewable energy works (wind, solar and SHP), knowing the deadlines involved.
QUALIFICATIONS:
The ideal candidate will have/ be:
- Strong knowledge of Microsoft Project (Advanced)
- Proficiency in English is MUST & other languages are a PLUS.
- MS Office knowledge.
- Proven previous experience as a Planner a MUST.
