A large international pharmaceutical company is looking for a candidate for the role Head of Business Development Russia and CIS.
Responsibilities:
- Developing a strategic portfolio roadmap to strengthen position in target market categories/segments in Russia and CIS region. Evaluate options for portfolio expansion, including R&D, acquisition/licensing, or global NPDs opportunities, transforming commercial business needs into technical capabilities.
- Change strategy development for existing portfolio. Develop strategies for implementing changes to existing products based on business needs and internal/external factors. Manage the change implementation.
- Establishing and managing external partnerships to support business development.
- Launch Project Management. Initiate, prepare the timeline and execute the new product availability to the market. Leading cross-functional communication with internal (local and global stakeholders) and external partners to ensure key project KPIs. Identify and assess risks related to portfolio development. Risks analysis and mitigation strategies development. Implement strategies to minimize and manage risks.
- Consultation and coordination with cross-functional teams. Provide expertise, recommendations and guidelines to category teams on launch-related topics and/or product changes.
- Managers and coach direct reports. Support in team interaction as well as cross-functions.
- Plans and controls the headcount and provides staffing and efficient staff recruitment.
- Supervises the work of employees, ensures compliance of labor discipline and internal regulations, as well as the compliance of the Labor Code of the Russian Federation and labor protection.
- Manages employees effectively: develops KPI and tools for measuring KPIs, promptly sets the goals in Performance management process and tasks to their subordinates and monitors the quality and timeliness of goals achievement.
- Talent management: contributes to the professional development of employees, identifies training needs, leads trainings organization for employees, and creates an opportunity for employees to participate in development projects, uses coaching to develop employees, and provides timely and high-quality conducting of processes in corporate HR online system.
Experience requirements:
- Medical or Pharmaceutical education;
- 10+ years of experience in pharmaceutical industry;
- At least 3 years of relevant work experience in the position of Head of business development;
- Successful experience in product launch on a turn-key basis;
- Experience in contracting production sites;
- Strong commercial skills with a good understanding of business opportunities;
- Understand brand building and listen to the consumer needs;
- Must be excellent in communication and relations, able to bring teams together and achieve common goals;
- Good knowledge of English (spoken and written).
