Key responsibilities
- Ensure accurate calculation and timely payment of all applicable taxes (VAT, CIT, PIT, Vehicle tax, Excise tax, etc.) in accordance with the Tax Code of the Republic of Kazakhstan.
- Prepare and submit tax returns in a timely manner, including but not limited to forms 300.00, 100.00, 700.00, 440.00, 328.00 and other required filings, ensuring accuracy and completeness of reported data.
- Prepare and submit statistics reports in a timely manner, on a monthly/quarterly/annual basis, ensuring accuracy and completeness of reported data.
- Prepare and submit National bank reports in a timely manner, on a monthly/quarterly/annual basis, ensuring accuracy and completeness of reported data.
- Maintain the company’s tax calendar, monitor payment and reporting deadlines, and notify relevant parties proactively.
- Conduct tax risk assessments, identify potential exposures, and provide recommendations on tax planning and legally compliant tax optimization.
- Liaise with tax authorities, including:
- Preparing and submitting responses to official requests,
- Participating in desk and field audits,
- Representing the company in disputes or appeals when necessary.
- Monitor changes in tax legislation, analyze their impact on the company, and prepare regular updates and guidelines for finance and accounting teams.
- Develop and update internal policies, procedures, and training materials related to tax accounting and compliance.
- Participate in the automation of tax processes, including system configuration and testing in 1C, SAP, Excel models, and integration with government portals (e.g. cabinet.salyk.kz, egov).
- Accounting/Closing.
- Work with a 3rd party tax advisory firm to complete Tax audits.
Working conditions:
- Full-time position.
- Standard working hours: 08:00 - 17:00.
