Senior Trader

Vortex is looking for a trader with deep knowledge of cryptocurrency markets and Web3.

What you will do:

• Analyze the market and liquidity – monitor order book depth, volatility, and order flow dynamics.
• Develop market-making strategies – ensure stable spreads and maintain demand-supply balance.
• Trade within risk parameters – manage positions, control risk exposure, and oversee capital allocation.
• Utilize algorithms and trading systems to optimize execution and efficiency.
• Track performance metrics – PnL, trading volume, order execution, and liquidity quality.
• Collaborate with the team – share insights with analysts and align strategies with client retention managers.
• Contribute to process development – test new tools, automate routine operations, and suggest improvements.

Who we are looking for:

• 1.5+ years of experience in retainer market making – a good grasp of exchange mechanics, order books, spreads, and the role of an MM in the market.
• You come from the crypto world and navigate it easily.
• Strong analytical skills – ability to process data quickly, identify patterns, and be decisive under pressure.
• Knowledge of trading platforms and APIs – experience with terminals, trading bots, and a basic understanding of automation.
• Focus on risk management – responsible capital allocation and adherence to limits.
• Flexibility and quick reactions – readiness to adapt to changing market conditions.
• Team-oriented – readiness to work with analysts, developers, and client managers.
