Role Description
The Product Manager is responsible for leading the strategy, development, and delivery of products by combining the functions of product management, project management, and business analysis. The role involves defining product vision, translating business requirements into actionable plans, and managing cross-functional teams to ensure timely and successful product launches. It requires close collaboration with stakeholders across technology, operations, and business units to deliver user-centric and commercially viable solutions. The ideal candidate has strong analytical skills, experience with agile methodologies, and a track record of delivering impactful products in fast-paced environments.
Responsibilities:
1. Product Strategy and Vision
• Define and communicate the product vision and roadmap for both mobile and web banking & crypto platforms aligned with UAB’s business objectives.
• Conduct comprehensive market research, competitor analysis, and regulatory landscape assessments focused on digital banking and cryptocurrency sectors.
• Conduct detailed competitor analysis to continuously benchmark UAB’s offerings against market leaders and emerging challengers.
• Collaborate with executive leadership to align product goals with broader business and regulatory strategy.
• Develop and monitor product KPIs including customer adoption, security incidents, transaction volume and regulatory compliance metrics.
• Prioritize product features balancing user impact, business value, technical feasibility, and compliance requirements.
• Promote a customer-first mindset emphasizing accessibility, usability and trust in digital finance.
2. Requirements Gathering & Business Analysis
• Engage stakeholders across compliance, legal, engineering, marketing, and customer service to elicit detailed business and regulatory requirements.
• Translate business and regulatory needs into actionable user stories, process flows, wireframes, and acceptance criteria for agile development.
• Perform comprehensive business analysis to validate feature requirements and align them with company strategy.
• Perform gap analyses for product and regulatory compliance, evaluating impact and risks of new features.
• Maintain a well-structured and prioritized product backlog with full traceability to compliance documentation.
• Ensure all product documentation supports audit readiness and regulatory reporting.
3. Project Management and Delivery Execution
• Create detailed project plans including scope, timelines, milestones, and resource allocation.
• Lead daily stand-ups, sprint planning, retrospectives, and other agile ceremonies.
• Track project progress and manage risks, dependencies, and blockers proactively.
• Collaborate with engineering, QA, UX/UI, marketing, and operations teams to deliver secure, compliant, and scalable products on time and within budget.
• Provide transparent status reports and metrics to stakeholders and executive management.
• Track and monitor developer tasks and progress to ensure timely completion of deliverables.
• Continuously update and maintain project management tools and documentation to reflect current status and future plans.
4. User Experience and Customer Advocacy
• Conduct user research, customer interviews, and usability testing focusing on both banking and crypto users’ unique needs.
• Collaborate with UX/UI designers to create intuitive, compliant, and secure mobile and web experiences.
• Incorporate direct customer feedback and analytics into product enhancements.
• Monitor product adoption, engagement, and security-related user behavior.
• Foster continuous improvement through iterative product refinements.
• Advocate for inclusivity, accessibility, and security-first design principles.
• Coordinate and ensure comprehensive application testing across mobile and web
platforms prior to releases.
5. Cross-Functional Collaboration & Communication
• Act as the central liaison between product, engineering, sales, marketing, and customer
success teams.
• Facilitate workshops, brainstorming sessions, and alignment meetings with stakeholders.
• Maintain open and clear communication across departments to ensure project
transparency.
• Support marketing and go-to-market strategies with product positioning and messaging.
• Align product features with commercial strategy and revenue goals.
• Ensure technical feasibility is validated in collaboration with engineering leads.
6. Quality Assurance & Post-Launch Support
• Partner with QA to define test strategies, use cases, and acceptance testing criteria.
• Validate feature releases meet defined business and technical requirements.
• Monitor post-launch performance, bug reports, and customer support tickets.
• Implement product analytics and data tracking tools.
• Coordinate hotfixes, patches, and iterative improvements.
• Conduct product retrospectives to identify lessons learned and best practices.
Qualifications & Experience:
• Bachelor’s degree in Business, Computer Science, Engineering, or related field.
• 4–8 years of experience in Product Management, Project Management or Business Analysis
financial technology, digital banking or cryptocurrency sectors.
• Proven success in managing full product lifecycle in agile environments.
• Strong analytical, communication, and organizational skills.
• Familiarity with regulatory compliance frameworks affecting digital banking and crypto
products.
• Proficient in tools such as JIRA, Confluence, Figma, Trello, and Product Board.
• PMP, CBAP, or Scrum certifications are a plus.
