An international company (a leading global brand offering complete bathroom solutions and kitchen faucets) is looking for a Product Manager, Central Asia, Caucasus & Mongolia, location Almaty.
Reports to Leader Marketing, Central Asia, Caucasus & Mongolia
To combine strategic planning, market analysis, and hands-on product lifecycle management to ensure strong market positioning and sustainable growth across Central Asia, the Caucasus, and Mongolia.
In addition to strong technical and commercial expertise, this role also involves a focus on soft skills trainings development. The colleague in this position is expected to design and deliver soft skills training programs tailored to the needs of internal teams and external customers.
Primary Responsibilities:
- Product Strategy & Portfolio Management
- Develop and execute regional product strategies and roadmaps aligned with global objectives.
- Define and manage the product portfolio, including introductions, phase-outs, and lifecycle planning.
- Identify regional product gaps and local needs; adapt global offerings where necessary. Work closely with Marketing Leader & sales department to elaborate balanced product mix for the respective markets; investigate unmet needs and cooperate with HQ to develop products to satisfy local markets demand.
- Ensure clear and timely internal and external communication about all product introduction & changes in portfolio.
- Being overall responsible for the respective category portfolio sales development securing KPIs are delivered & overachieved.
- Market & Competitor Analysis
- Conduct detailed market research, customer segmentation, and competitor benchmarking.
- Lead the benchmark process and provide input for the pricing strategies development.
- Monitor regional trends and regulatory developments in sanitary ware and adjacent categories.
- Translate market insights into actionable recommendations for portfolio and positioning.
- Commercial Support & Go-to-Market Execution
- Work closely with sales teams, marketing, and digital marketing colleagues to plan and support product launches.
- Search for new business opportunities in all sales channels for the category.
- Support local sales teams and external customers with product presentations, catalogues and brochures.
- Forecasting and reporting
- Actively participate in preparing annual sales plans (IOP, etc.) by product and by channel, perform analysis of monthly sales reports, identify possible problems and opportunities, develop, propose and implement respective actions.
- Elaborate forecasting of sales, provide corresponding reports for management team and HQ; in cooperation with Logistics Department ensure maximum efficiency of sales forecasting. Implement active cooperation with HQ in case of delivery delays, shortages.
- Soft skills trainings and internal knowledge check
- Define & coordinate strategy for education covering both product & soft skills trainings.
- Develop necessary tools for trainings (video materials, textbooks, presentations, handouts, mobile exhibitors, etc.).
- Full responsibility for available trainings platforms management & regular update.
- Lead the internal self assessment program for the sales team
Qualifications and Education:
- Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Business Administration or a related field.
- MBA or additional certifications in Product Management are a plus.
- Fluency in English and Russian (both written and spoken); knowledge of Kazakh language is an advantage.
- Strong communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills.
- Proven ability to work effectively in a cross-cultural and cross-functional environment.
- Training or facilitation skills, especially in delivering soft skills programs, are desirable
- Knowledge in MS office suite and/or Google workspace application
Experience:
- Minimum 3 years of experience in product management, preferably in sanitary ware, building materials, or durable goods sectors.
- Demonstrated success in managing a product portfolio through its full lifecycle.
- Experience working in or with markets in Central Asia, the Caucasus, and/or Mongolia.
- Background in market analysis, competitive positioning, and go-to-market planning.
- Track record of collaborating with sales, marketing, R&D, and supply chain functions.
- Experience designing or conducting customer- or team-oriented training programs is an advantage.
