Wood (trading locally as WOOD KSS LLP) is currently recruiting for Lead Instrument Engineer with extensive experience in the oil and gas petrochemical industry.
Responsibilities:
- Manage a Team of Engineering and Designers to execute the Scope of Work
- Ensure compliance with all Local and International Standards and adherence to Company Specific Standards
- Responsible for the Integrity of the Deliverables and Ensure all comply with Originating, checking and approving procedures
- Focal Point for 3D Model Review(s) and the timely closing of all comments
- Developing CTR’s and identifying and flagging any changes with Engineering/Project Managers
- Inputs to the Schedules and ensuring that work is executed in the agreed timeframe
- Manpower Planning through all phases of the Projects
- Final Sign off on all deliverables for the discipline
- Closure of any Technical and Site Related Queries
- Liaison with Client Lead Discipline Engineer
- Liaison with overseas Engineering Office
- Review P&IDs, I/O schedules, C&E diagrams, block diagrams, etc; prepared by others, prepare new / modification of existing PAS equipment scope and interact with client to finalize the scope;
- Develop PAS equipment specifications and engineering drawings
- Prepare modification of existing PAS equipment engineering / vendor drawings
- Review PAS equipment bidders technical bid and prepare TBE
- Review PAS equipment vendor deliverables and provide approval
- Manage PAS equipment package
- participation in:
- Client meeting
- P&ID reviews
- Control Objectives Analysis reviews (COA’s)
- HAZOPs
- Cause & effect review meetings
- Shall be conversant in Process Control/ ESD/ F&G philosophies/ specifications, different type of instruments, I/O schedules, block diagrams, cause and effects, layouts, loop diagrams, etc
- Possessing technical knowledge on control systems
- Participate in safety reviews, HAZOPs and SIL Assessments
Skills / Qualifications
- Technical Degree (Bsc) or Higher in their Chosen Discipline
- Experience of working as a Lead in their discipline for no less that 5 Years
- Ability to provide guidance and direction to project team, managing, motivating and mentoring professional engineering specialists
- Proficient user of relevant software and calculation templates
- Professional level of knowledge of applicable codes and standards
- Experience in developing design documentation in accordance with RoK regulatory documents
- Experience on projects within EPC contract (Engineering, Supply and Construction)
