We are seeking a dynamic and results-driven professional to lead efforts in attracting international Global Business Services (GBS) and Shared Services centers to Uzbekistan. This role is ideal for individuals passionate about investment attraction and business development, with a deep understanding of global outsourcing trends. As a representative of Uzbekistan on the global stage, you will play a pivotal role in positioning the country as a preferred destination for international business services.
Key Responsibilities
Strategic Outreach: Identify and engage with GBS leaders and C-level executives of multinational corporations to promote Uzbekistan as a competitive hub for business services.
Market Positioning: Conduct online presentations and meetings to showcase Uzbekistan's advantages, including a skilled workforce, favorable tax incentives, and modern infrastructure.
Relationship Management: Build and maintain long-term relationships with industry stakeholders, including government agencies, private sector partners, and international investors.
Representation: Represent Uzbekistan at international GBS conferences and business events, enhancing the country's visibility and attractiveness to foreign investors.
Collaboration: Work closely with government and private stakeholders to support the onboarding and expansion processes of international GBS centers in Uzbekistan.
Market Analysis: Monitor global trends in the shared services and outsourcing market to inform and adjust attraction strategies effectively.
Requirements
Educational Background: Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, International Relations, Economics, or a related field. A Master's degree is a plus.
Language Proficiency: Fluency in English is required; knowledge of Uzbek and Russian is a strong advantage.
Experience: Proven experience in investment attraction, business development, or related fields, with a focus on GBS or shared services sectors.
Skills: Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to negotiate and build partnerships effectively.
Independence: Ability to work independently and manage multiple international relationships simultaneously.
Travel Willingness: Willingness to travel for global GBS conferences and B2B meetings.
Preferred Qualifications
Network: Existing network in international companies operating in Uzbekistan (e.g., PepsiCo, Coca-Cola, BAT, Nestlé).
Industry Experience: Experience working in multinational corporations, particularly within the GBS or shared services domains.
Knowledge: Familiarity with incentive schemes, IT park benefits, or business setup processes in Uzbekistan.
