R Engineer (AWS, Jenkins, Python)

We have 30 years of expertise in designing and building custom software systems. We provide software development services focusing on complex high-load applications, AI and BI solutions, and mobile apps.

We are seeking a skilled R developer with experience in handling large datasets. Experience in DevOps is a plus. This role requires hands-on development, code deployment, testing and collaboration across multiple technical teams to ensure seamless integration and upstream support of database systems.

Key responsibilities

• Write and maintain code primarily in R, including automated tests; proficiency in Python is a strong plus.

• Productize R code written by scientists.

• Version-track code using git; maintain software development best practices.

• Manage existing CI/CD pipelines using Jenkins and other automation tools.

• Troubleshoot deployment and infrastructure issues, ensure high availability and performance.

• Collaborate cross-functionally with developers, DBAs, and system engineers.

Required skills and experience

• Strong programming skills in R (required). Experience with handling larger-than-memory datasets. Experience with testthat.
• Familiarity with DevOps practices and CI/CD pipelines (especially Jenkins).
• Experience with AWS infrastructure (EC2, S3, RDS, IAM, etc.) and cloud-native application development.
• Strong understanding of version control systems (Git, Bitbucket, etc.).
• Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.

Nice to have

• Experience with database management or working closely with DB teams.
• Knowledge of infrastructure as code (Terraform, CloudFormation).
• Exposure to DevOps tools (Docker, Kubernetes, Ansible).
