Senior Data Scientist (Marketing team)

We are looking for a Senior Data Scientist to join the Marketing Data Science team within the wider operations group.

In this role, you’ll partner closely with marketing stakeholders to design and deploy data science solutions that scale marketing automation, improve lead qualification, and accelerate growth using AI/ML, especially in greenfield areas like lead routing, scaled selling and LLM-integrated workflows.

Team:

• The team consists of 3 Data Scientists + 2 Java developers + PM, Data Engineers + DA support team.
• You’ll join a supportive team of curious and passionate experts, working on some of the most innovative projects in the business.

Responsibilities:

• Partner with marketing teams to deeply understand their goals, challenges, and processes and design AI/ML solutions that move the needle.
• Build and deploy scalable models that automate lead classification, scoring, and routing. As a Marketing Data Science team we aim to both scale and better qualify leads hitting the top of our sales funnel - and this role will work on a number of AI projects to help us do this better.
• Integrate Large Language Models (LLMs) and other AI tools to enhance campaign intelligence and personalized experiences.
• Work with structured and unstructured data from multiple sources; design pipelines that make this data accessible, accurate, and actionable.
• Prototype and iterate quickly with stakeholder feedback, validating models through experimentation and business impact metrics.
• Communicate findings, insights, and recommendations clearly to technical and non-technical audiences, including senior leaders.
• Contribute to evolving the data science practice, including mentoring others, improving infrastructure (e.g., real-time feature stores), and championing best practices.

Requirements:

• 5+ years of experience in data science with demonstrated success delivering ML solutions in production environments.
• Expert-level proficiency in Python and SQL; experience with version control (e.g., Git).
• Deep knowledge of machine learning techniques, including classification, clustering, and deep learning.
• Experience working with LLMs (e.g., GPT, Claude) and applying GenAI to real-world problems (prompt engineering, retrieval-augmented generation, etc.).
• Strong business acumen and ability to influence strategic decisions through data storytelling.
• Comfortable working in cross-functional teams with engineers, analysts, and business leaders.
• Proven track record of building and deploying models end-to-end, from data exploration to monitoring real-time models in production.

Bonus Points:

• PhD in a quantitative field (e.g., Statistics, Computer Science, Economics).
• Prior experience working in a data engineering or software engineering role.
• Experience leading projects and mentoring junior team members.
• Experience with deep learning frameworks (e.g., SageMaker, TensorFlow, PyTorch).
• Familiarity with setting up and monitoring high-performance scoring pipelines, especially real-time scoring and classification pipelines.
• Understanding of MLOps principles and experience with cloud platforms (AWS/GCP/Azure).
