Central Asian University is seeking a full-time Import Procurement Manager to oversee the import process, negotiate with international suppliers, and ensure compliance with local and international regulations. The role includes managing logistics, contracts, and coordination with internal teams for timely delivery.
Responsibilities:
- Negotiate with international suppliers on pricing, terms, warranties.
- Manage full import process: documentation, customs clearance, shipping, compliance.
- Prepare presentations and reports for vendors and internal leadership.
- Monitor delivery timelines and resolve shipment delays.
- Evaluate suppliers, especially in medical and educational tech sectors.
- Coordinate with internal departments and warehouse teams.
- Ensure compliance with university procurement policies and Uzbekistan import regulations.
Requirements:
Education:
- Degree in Business, Medicine, Biomedical Engineering, or related field.
Experience:
- 3+ years in procurement, logistics, or import/export roles.
- Strong knowledge of INCOTERMS, customs procedures, HS codes.
- Experience working with international vendors.
Skills:
- Proficiency in Excel and logistics/procurement platforms.
- Fluent in English, Russian, and Uzbek.
- Strong organizational and communication skills.
- Detail-oriented and able to manage multiple deadlines.
- Experience in universities, hospitals, or government projects is a plus.
- Willingness to travel.
