ROLE DESCRIPTION
This is a full-time, on-site role for a Substation Primary Design Engineer at JSC UzEnergoEngineering, located in Tashkent, Uzbekistan. The Substation Primary Design Engineer will be responsible for designing and overseeing power supply systems, internal and external lighting systems, cable layouts, and other key components of substations. The role requires collaboration with cross-functional teams, ensuring compliance with regulatory standards, and delivering projects on time and within budget.
Responsibilities:
- Substation Power Supply Design
- Design power supply schemes for substations of various capacities.
- Prepare design and working documentation for electrical power supply systems.
- Analyze and calculate power supply parameters (loads, short-circuit currents, equipment selection).
- Develop connection and protection schemes for equipment.
- Ensure compliance with standards (GOST, PUE, SNiP) and safety regulations.
- Work closely with cross-functional teams to deliver high-quality project designs.
- Internal Lighting Design for Substations
- Design internal lighting systems for substations, considering safety and energy efficiency.
- Calculate lighting parameters and select appropriate light sources.
- Prepare design documentation (drawings, specifications, calculations).
- Proficiency with lighting calculation programs (e.g., Dialux, Relux).
- Ensure compliance with regulatory standards for internal lighting (GOST, SNiP, IEC).
- External Lighting Design for Substations
- Design external lighting systems for substations, including power supply schemes and light source selection.
- Calculate lighting parameters and ensure safety and energy efficiency.
- Prepare design documentation (drawings, specifications, calculations, working drawings).
- Proficiency with programs for external lighting calculation (e.g., Dialux, Relux, AutoCAD).
- Ensure compliance with regulatory standards for external lighting (GOST, SNiP, SP).
- Cable Layout Design up to 1000 V
- Design cable layouts up to 1000 V in various conditions (underground and overhead cable lines).
- Select cable cross-sections and installation methods according to operating conditions.
- Prepare project documentation for cable installation (layout diagrams, specifications, calculations).
- Proficiency with software for cable network design (e.g., AutoCAD, CAD, "Cable Networks").
- Ensure compliance with safety and regulatory standards for cable installations.
QUALIFICATIONS & SKILLS
- Higher technical education in electrical engineering, energy, or a related field.
- At least 2–3 years of work experience in the design of electrical systems for substations.
- Proficiency in design software (AutoCAD, Dialux, Relux, CAD, etc.).
- In-depth knowledge of regulatory documents and standards (GOST, PUE, SNiP, IEC, etc.).
- Experience in designing power supply, lighting systems, and cable layouts for substations.
- Strong analytical skills for power supply calculations, cable layouts, and lighting designs.
- Ability to work with other specialists (construction engineers, electricians, estimators).
- Strong attention to detail and ability to adhere to deadlines and safety standards.
- Knowledge of energy efficiency and environmental regulations.
SALARY & DURATION
- The salary for this position will be competitive and commensurate with the candidate’s qualifications and experience. This will be discussed during the interview process. The role is offered on a contract basis, with the contract duration to be agreed upon during the hiring discussions
