Construction Manager

MAIN DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

• Reporting to the Head of Engineering and Construction
• Assist in managing construction projects, ensuring they are completed on time, within scope / budget
• Contribute technical expertise into the contracts for works / services. Conducting negotiations, agreeing on the scope of works
• Coordinate with consultants, contractors, suppliers and other stakeholders to ensure smooth project execution
• Monitor progress and report the status ‘plan-fact’ and provide updates
• Conduct site visits to inspect progress and ensure compliance with quality and safety standards
• Prepare meetings’ minutes, monitoring actions are done
• Adress any project-related issues promptly and effectively
• Contribute to continuous improvement efforts by identifying opportunities to streamline processes
• Checking the accuracy of POs for materials, equipment in coordination with contractors and vendors
• Cross-checking of drawings and BoQs for accuracy over the calculations

CANDIDATE PROFILE

• Bachelor’s degree in civil engineering. Master’s degree is the advantage
• At least 5 years of prior experience in construction of Residential, Commercial or Mixed-use Developments
• Ability to work under strict deadlines and pressure to produce required results
• Team Player with organizational skills
• Experience of MS Project and/or any other specialized PM software packages
• Software competent user: MS Office, AutoCAD
• Fluent in English (both spoken and written). Greek is a huge advantage
