We’re hiring a Manager in Risk Consulting.
Role Overview
- Key topics: risk management, ALM, large-scale transformations, and other banking topics
- Clients: financial sector organizations in Kazakhstan, Uzbekistan, Azerbaijan
- Examples of projects for banks include (but are not limited to): Full-scale risk function transformation, Development of Asset-Liability Management (ALM) tool & framework, Construction of FTP curve, ICAAP diagnostics and development of recommendations to align with SREP recommendations, Development of climate financing strategy, Transformation of fraud risk management system, Diagnostics & transformation of corporate governance system, Climate stress-testing. Projects for financial regulators are also common, including a market-wide project on improvement of efficiency of risk management, internal audit, and internal control systems for the whole banking sector in the country
- Full responsibility for leading consulting projects (including several projects simultaneously): content development, project and team management, client communication
- Leadership and active contribution to business development: generation of insights/solutions/ideas, preparation and presentation of offerings to clients
- Management and development of the team (10-20 people)
- Participation in marketing events
Candidate Requirements
- 5+ (ideally 7-10+) years of experience in consulting and/or financial sector organizations in functions such as risk management, strategy, ALM, research & analysis, finance, PMO, business units etc.
- Excellent knowledge of the banking industry and of one or more of the following topics: risk management, bank strategy, bank transformations, ALM, finance, banking / financial markets
- Proven experience with leading transformational projects
- Strong ability to lead and develop teams (up to 15-20 people)
- Outstanding ability to proactively generate new insights/solutions/ideas in the banking domain
- Excellent skills in Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, Word
- Excellent skills in researching, analyzing, and structuring information
- English language skills – at least Upper-Intermediate level
- Top performer with outstanding leadership skills and strive for excellence
- Readiness to work overtime in a fast-paced and multi-task environment and to travel for business purposes
- High level of interest in the financial industry
