History Teacher

Job Description
The new campus of Al-Beruniy International School is expanding its secondary division and invites applications from qualified and passionate educators for the position of History Teacher.
The successful candidate will deliver History within the Pearson Edexcel framework. The role requires a dynamic educator committed to academic excellence, critical thinking, and inquiry-based learning, capable of inspiring students to develop a deep understanding of historical processes and global perspectives.

Key Responsibilities
Plan and deliver engaging and well-structured History lessons in accordance with Pearson Edexcel specifications.
Prepare students for external examinations (IGCSE / International A Level), including systematic practice with past papers and exam-style responses.
Teach historical source analysis, structured essay writing, and evidence-based argumentation.
Apply differentiated instruction strategies to meet diverse learning needs.
Conduct formative and summative assessments aligned with Pearson assessment criteria.
Monitor student progress and adjust teaching strategies accordingly.
Foster critical thinking, analytical skills, and independent research abilities through discussions, debates, and project-based learning.
Collaborate with colleagues on interdisciplinary initiatives and curriculum development.
Maintain professional communication with students, parents, and staff.
Uphold academic integrity and comply with Pearson examination regulations and safeguarding policies.

Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree or higher in History or a closely related field (e.g., International Relations, Political Science, Humanities).
Recognized teaching qualification (PGCE, Teaching License, or equivalent).
Minimum of 2 years of teaching experience in secondary education (experience with Pearson Edexcel or other international curricula is an advantage).
Strong understanding of Pearson Edexcel assessment structures and examination requirements.
Excellent organizational and interpersonal skills.
