Database Developer

We are expanding our technology team and opening a new role for a Database Developer, who will work on scalable data pipelines and core analytical infrastructure powering key business processes and decision‑making across the organization.

Purpose of the Position

To design, build, and optimize high‑performance data processing systems that ensure the reliability, scalability, and accessibility of enterprise data. The role focuses on modern data engineering practices, cross‑functional collaboration, and continuous improvement of data quality and performance.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and implement scalable and efficient data processing pipelines.
• Collaborate with data architects, data scientists, and business analysts to translate requirements into robust technical solutions.
• Develop and optimize ETL/ELT processes for ingesting and transforming large datasets from multiple sources.
• Implement data integration solutions to ensure seamless and consistent data flow across platforms.
• Build and maintain data warehouses, data lakes, and data marts for structured and unstructured data.
• Design and maintain data models, schemas, and database structures to support reporting and analytics.
• Monitor and optimize the performance of database infrastructure to ensure reliability and scalability.
• Troubleshoot and resolve data processing, data quality, and performance issues.

Your Tasks

• Write efficient, optimized code in languages such as Java, Scala, Python, and SQL for data manipulation and analysis.
• Create and maintain automated monitoring systems to ensure data pipeline health and continuity.
• Implement data security and privacy controls in line with regulatory and internal requirements.
• Conduct comprehensive testing and validation of data pipelines and analytical solutions.
• Prepare and maintain documentation: technical specifications, deployment processes, and operational guidelines.
• Stay current with industry trends, emerging technologies, and best practices in data engineering and analytics.

Candidate Profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Technology, or a related field.
• 3+ years of proven experience as a Data Developer, Data Engineer, or equivalent role.
• Proficiency in Java, Scala, Python, SQL, and other tools for data processing and analytics.
• Experience working with cloud data services (AWS, Azure, Google Cloud).
• Strong understanding of database design, data warehousing, and data modeling principles.
• Excellent analytical and problem‑solving skills, including the ability to troubleshoot complex data issues.
• Strong communication and teamwork skills, enabling effective cross‑functional collaboration.
• English — working proficiency.

Preferred Qualifications

• Master’s degree in Data Science, Computer Science, or a related technical field.
• Experience with real‑time data processing frameworks.
• Knowledge of machine learning and data science concepts in the context of big data analytics.
• Familiarity with DevOps practices and tools for continuous integration and deployment.
