Lead AWS Serverless Developer (Python)

We are currently looking for a Lead AWS Serverless Developer, where AWS and serverless architecture are the core competencies, and Python is the primary development language.

The project is an online testing platform for medical schools (exams and testing). Our client is a US-based company providing test development and automated testing services.

Availability between 8:00 AM and 2:00 PM EST is required.

​​​Required experience and skills

• 6+ years of commercial software development experience (Python).
• Strong hands-on experience with AWS serverless technologies, including:
  • AWS Lambda
  • AWS API Gateway
  • Amazon SQS, Amazon SNS
  • Amazon EventBridge
  • AWS Step Functions
  • AWS AppSync
• Solid experience with event-driven architectures and serverless design patterns.
• Practical experience building and deploying serverless APIs using AWS Lambda and API Gateway.
• Strong Python skills, including experience with AWS SDK for Python (boto3).
• Experience with AWS database: Amazon DynamoDB.
• Hands-on experience with Amazon S3:
  • file and inventory management
  • archiving strategies, lifecycle policies, and storage classes.
• Experience with infrastructure as code and serverless deployment tools:
  • AWS CloudFormation
  • AWS CDK and/or AWS SAM.
• Familiarity with monitoring, logging, and debugging in AWS:
  • AWS CloudWatch
  • AWS X-Ray
  • AWS CloudTrail.
• Understanding of security and compliance aspects in serverless applications.
• Experience with CI/CD pipelines and DevOps practices for serverless systems.
• English level: B2 (Upper-Intermediate) or higher.
