ISAMS & Database Specialist

Administer, maintain, coordinate, integrate and develop the school’s primary data Management Information System (iSAMS), including monitoring and tracking progress on iSAMS, supporting the present and future needs of the School.

Maintain data in kundelik, nobd.kz of the pupils.

Ensure that the school’s MIS (ISAMS) is ready for the beginning of each academic year, e.g. carrying out year-end procedures, including upload of pupil photos, the annual coordinated rollover of data in ISAMS; set up the registration cycles at the beginning of each academic year, and organization of term dates and teaching weeks on the MIS system.

Support the school’s academic timetable, including the ECA, throughout the year with any timetable changes required, as well as database support during the summer holiday to assist with the timetable import and subsequent data inputting tasks.

Liaise with the Head of Primary and the Head of Secondary and teaching colleagues on all reporting cycles and supporting the uploading of these to the Parent Portal.

Create, manage the data input and record keeping of staff, pupils in any relevant software systems.

Input and co-ordinate the academic reporting process – create assessment cycles and schedules; ensure data is complete, and distribute the completed data to staff and parents in the form of spreadsheets, assessment sheets and school reports.

Manage system permissions, issuing passwords and ensuring all staff have correct access to the information management system and other software.

Manage the ‘Parent Portal’ and provide support to parents accessing the school systems via email and telephone. Manage parents’ calls. Support to the parent customers with their Parent Portal accounts with the setting up of their accounts and sending out registration details as well as assisting with any access issues they encounter throughout the academic year; input data on tuition payments and issue reminders’ to the parents.

Troubleshoot user problems on data software and support the implementation of required developments including but not limited to account permissions, password issues, data queries, creation of new and custom areas.

Update the information that is stored in ISAMS, including pupil academic data, administration of timetables, and the construction of timetable data, ensure that all information remains accurate at all times and implement any changes.

Ensure relevant staff are trained in the use of iSAMS and other relevant software packages. Work with Admissions and Marketing to develop and maintain the CRM system and ensure that it is fully integrated with ISAMS.

Liaise with IT on maintenance issues and any custom requirements / reports/integration and the software provider.

Work collaboratively with the school middle and senior leaders to review, implement the relevant modules that are available within iSAMs.

Knowledge of ISAMS software is a plus. knowledge of other programs (like SAP, NAV) is welcome
