Technical Writer Team Manager

The Technical Writer Team Manager oversees all documentation efforts across multiple Company’s products. You will manage the Technical Writers Team, own the Knowledge Base vision, and ensure high-quality, consistent documentation across all systems and user-facing materials.

Additional Knowledge

• Understanding of Docs-as-Code methodology.

• Ability to manage screenshot preparation workflows using Figma and design kits.

• Ability to configure IDE plug-ins and optimize documentation workflows.

Overview of Future Responsibilities:

• Lead, mentor, and supervise the Technical Writers Team.

• Maintain high documentation standards across all Company’s products.

• Own and evolve the Knowledge Base as a product.

• Ensure clarity, accuracy, and consistency in all technical materials.

• Coordinate with cross-functional teams (PMs, developers, designers, support)

• Write, verify and approve software user interface texts

Team Leadership & Workflow Coordination

• Coordinate daily operations of the Technical Writers Team.

• Assign tasks and manage workload distribution across the team.

• Develop, maintain, and enforce writing standards, conventions, and style guides.

• Improve team workflows for efficiency, quality, and consistency.

• Provide continuous feedback, coaching, and performance guidance.

Knowledge Base (KB) Management

• Act as the KB Product Owner: define vision, maintain backlog, and drive improvements.

• Set and enforce KB content-writing and visualization standards.

• Review and edit all KB articles, ensuring correctness, clarity, and relevance.

• Ensure regular updates to KB content.

• Collaborate with front-end developers, designers, and PMs on KB-related initiatives.

• Create Jira tasks for documentation work and assign them to writers.

Quality Assurance & Standardization

• Implement documentation standards and ensure adherence across all products.

• Maintain and evolve the corporate glossary; ensure correct term usage across teams.

• Conduct thorough reviews and provide constructive feedback.

• Promote continuous improvement through documentation quality audits.

UI Text Development

• Write and review UI texts across Sxope products.

• Ensure consistency, clarity, and usability in UI text terminology.

• Act as the primary editor for UI texts created by the Technical Writers Team.

Required Experience:

Documentation Expertise

• 5+ years of experience in technical writing within the cloud software field.

• Strong command of English (near-native).

• Proven experience managing documentation teams and operations.

• Experience overseeing large-scale documentation ecosystems.

Technical Expertise

• Proficiency with Git, Markdown, IDEs, and documentation workflows.

• Understanding and application of Docs-as-Code.

• Familiarity with static site generators and related front-end technologies.

• Experience working with Jira and Confluence at a professional level.

• Tech-savvy mindset and ability to adopt new tooling quickly.

Business Analysis

• Ability to gather requirements, define documentation strategies, and communicate across teams.

• Ability to convert product requirements into structured documentation deliverables.
