Resettlement Specialist

Responsibilities:

specialists will manage all aspects of involuntary resettlement:

• updating any Resettlement Plans (RPs);
• preparing due diligence reports if land acquisition or resettlement impacts are identified during detailed design;
• monitoring the implementation of the RPs, including compensation payments and livelihood restoration programs;
• ensuring the Grievance Redress Mechanism (GRM) is functional and responsive to affected persons' complaints; and preparing semi-annual social safeguard monitoring reports for ADB.

• Bachelor’s degree in environmental studies, engineering;
• Preferably, candidates should have at least 10 years' experience in the resettlement or land acquisition field, working on projects financed by MDBs;
• Preference will be given to candidates with experience of MDB-funded projects (e.g. those financed by the ADB, AIIB, AFD, EBRD or World Bank).
