Senior Associate (Banking & Finance Practice Group)

Dentons Kazakhstan seeks to hire a full-time Senior Associate to join its highly regarded Banking & Finance team.

Responsibilities:

1. Handling multiple legal matters simultaneously and independently;
2. Preparation of tailor-made end products to clients;
3. Prospecting for new clients through marketing, networking, and academic activities;
4. Building the knowledge and capacity of junior associates;
5. Assisting clients with a wide range of banking and finance matters which could relate (without limitations) to:

• debt and equity capital markets;
• derivative transactions entered into under the ISDA Master Agreements;
• repurchase transactions entered into under the GMRAs;
• secured lending transactions;
• regulatory advice.

Requirements:

1. 5-8 years of experience in banking and finance with a large corporate organization, financial institution or a reputable law firm;
2. Knowledge of the documentation prepared by the ISDA and the ICMA;
3. Knowledge of AIFC law is a plus;
4. LLM or a similar degree from an elite university is a plus;
5. Fluency in languages (in particular, English);
6. Detail-oriented with strong communication, time management, research, analytical, and writing skills;
7. Strong work ethic, hard work and resilience;
8. Profound demonstration of leadership and motivation;
9. Client and team orientation.
