Position: Regional Supply Chain Manager (Central Asia)
Function: Sourcing, Procurement, Expediting, Logistics, Warehousing & Inventory
Scope: O&M, Project Companies, and Country-level corporate needs across Central Asia
Team: Direct Reports – 3, with close collaboration with central/global teams
Description:
To lead and manage the supply chain function for all Central Asia projects for activities such as sourcing, procurement, expediting, logistics, warehousing and Inventory management and jointly with the central team ensure cost optimization through Long term agreements and a healthy vendor database related to the region. To drive initiatives to improve ACWA’s position in the market, in alignment with the global supply chain strategy, ensuring the cost, quality and scope requirements are met in an efficient manner, whilst ensuring overall cost optimization and management of business risks. The Role would cover all requirements related to O&M , Project Company and Country related corporate needs.
Key Responsibilities:
Develop and implement regional supply chain strategy aligned with corporate objectives.
Lead, mentor, and manage the Central Asia supply chain team, ensuring performance and engagement.
Oversee procurement activities including sourcing, tendering, contract management, and supplier selection, ensuring cost-effective and timely delivery.
Manage vendor relationships, build a robust supplier database, and mitigate single-source risks.
Ensure efficient logistics operations, including transportation, customs clearance, and site deliveries.
Oversee warehousing and inventory management to ensure accuracy, compliance, and timely replenishment.
Collaborate with central teams for contract execution, frame agreements, and long-term supplier arrangements.
Monitor budgets, financial performance, and supply chain KPIs across procurement, logistics, and warehousing.
Drive cost savings and process improvements across the supply chain.
Ensure compliance with HSSE standards, policies, and regulatory requirements.
Provide accurate and timely reporting on regional supply chain activities.
Requirements:
Bachelor’s degree in Engineering.
10–12 years of supply chain management experience, including at least 5 years in the power industry.
Strong background in procurement of technical materials and services.
Experience in logistics and multi-site warehousing operations.
Knowledge of inventory management, contract management, and local regulations.
Proficiency in SAP ERP systems.
Strong negotiation, communication, and leadership skills.
Ability to develop supplier relationships and implement improvements across geographies.
Fluency in English (written and spoken).
