Job Announcement – Project Engineer.

Work Location: Kyrgyzstan - Bishkek

Contract duration: 12 months (one year)

- Objective of the job

Planning and managing engineering projects, including the preparation of designs, technical plans, bills of quantities and specifications, and supervising field implementation to ensure the completion of projects with high quality and within the specified time frame.

- Tasks and responsibilities

1. Preparation of detailed engineering plans for projects
2. Prepare bills of quantities and analyze prices accurately.
3. Preparing technical and engineering specifications for projects.
4. Prepare the timetable and detailed implementation plan.
5. Preparing project budgets according to the scope of work.
6. Prepare and submit periodic reports on the progress of work.
7. Documenting the stages of implementation in the field and recording technical notes.
8. Follow up the implementation of works, direct contractors and deal with emergency amendments.
9. Inventory of completed works and preparation and approval of contractors' payments.
10. Preparing the minutes of the initial and final receipt of projects.

- Additional tasks

• Possess extensive knowledge in time planning programs.

•Previous field experience working with NGOs.

- Required qualifications and experience

1. Bachelor’s degree in civil engineering from a recognized university.
2. Practical experience of at least 5 years in the implementation of engineering projects.
3. Proficiency in Russian and English (Arabic is a plus).
4. Ability to plan, evaluate, and make decisions under pressure.
5. High skill in time management, reporting and problem solving.

- Required technical skills

1. Accurate knowledge of quantity calculation and price analysis.
2. Familiarity with the drafting of engineering contracts and general and special technical specifications.
3. Full understanding of tender procedures.
4. The ability to prepare integrated technical periodic reports.
5. Obtaining an official engineer license from the concerned authorities in Kyrgyzstan. (Valid approved license from the Ministry of Works or the competent concerned authorities)

- Required personal abilities:

1. Ability to assess situations and problems affecting workflow
2. Ability to resolve disagreements and deal with work pressure effectively.
