Senior Software Engineer (Python, SW Engineering, Web Development, Cloud)

We’re seeking an experienced Senior Software Engineer / Web Developer (6+ years) to lead and accelerate the development of a partially implemented, high-impact project. This is a hands-on leadership role ideal for a candidate with deep technical expertise and a passion for building robust, cloud-native applications.

Key Technical Skills:

• Software Engineering
  - Strong command of Python, with production-level experience in FastAPI and PyTest
  - In-depth knowledge of Algorithms, Data Structures, and Object-Oriented Programming (OOP)
  - Proficiency in SQL and SQLAlchemy
  - Cloud-native development experience on GCP and/or AWS
  - Familiarity with frameworks such as aiohttp, Falcon, or Flask (a plus)
• Web Development & Infrastructure
  - Advanced experience with GKE (Google Kubernetes Engine), Docker, and Google Pub/Sub
  - Practical knowledge of Unix-like OS installation and configuration (non-virtualized)
  - Strong grasp of DevOps practices, including CI/CD, Terraform, Helm, Cloud Build, and GitHub
• Additional Expertise
  - Comfortable defining best practices and setting coding standards
  - OCR / Natural Language Processing experience is highly desirable

• Cloud Platform: Google Cloud Platform (GCP)
• Databases: SQL, Cloud SQL, Spanner, BigQuery
• Containerization: Docker, Google Kubernetes Engine (GKE)

• Be the lead individual contributor on the engineering team
• Drive project architecture, execution, and timelines
• Mentor junior developers and enforce high-quality coding practices
• Design, develop, and deploy scalable solutions in a Python + GKE environment
• Champion a testing-first culture with strong focus on PyTest
• Implement robust infrastructure as code and CI/CD pipelines
