Lead Automation QA Engineer

Project:

A technological platform designed to manage the company’s business operations. This is a cloud-first, multi-system solution with numerous integrations with third-party systems needed to collect and exchange data for checks and verifications. This is a greenfield development — we are designing and developing this platform from the ground up, using the existing systems the customer has in place as a source of knowledge about their business and domain specifics.

What a Lead QA Engineer will do:

• Lead and mentor a QA team, setting goals aligned with QA strategies and organizational objectives.
• Plan and prioritize testing activities, ensuring optimal resource allocation and test coverage.
• Identify and implement test automation opportunities.
• Define and implement QA processes, methodologies, and best practices.
• Drive process improvements and continuous enhancements within the team.
• Develop and manage test plans, cases, scripts, and automation frameworks.
• Establish and track quality metrics and performance indicators.

About you:

• 1,5+ years of extensive experience in Automation QA Engineering, with a strong expertise in software testing methodologies.
• Proven leadership skills in managing QA teams.
• Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making abilities.
• In-depth knowledge of test automation frameworks and tools.
• Proficiency in English at a B2 level or higher.
• Strong communication skills with the ability to collaborate effectively across teams and with clients.
• Familiarity with CI/CD tools (e.g., Jenkins, GitLab CI/CD).
• Proficiency in C# or Java programming languages.
• Experience working in cloud environments (e.g., AWS, Azure, Google Cloud).
• Understanding of containerization technologies such as Docker or Kubernetes.
• Experience with API testing tools (e.g., Postman, SoapUI).
• Background in Agile and Scrum methodologies.
• Knowledge of security testing practices and tools.
