Senior Civil & Structural Engineer

Juru is looking for a Senior Civil & Structural Engineer to join our Energy and Infrastructure Engineering practice in Tashkent, Uzbekistan. In this role, you will be supporting the team on a wide range of high-profile energy and infrastructure projects across the Central Asia region.

Responsibilities:

• Develop and maintain conceptual and detailed construction drawings and ensure engineering & design deliverables within budget and on time

• Perform structural calculation for industrial buildings & equipment foundations as well as structures

• Close coordination with other disciplines to resolve engineering issues during design development, review and check processes to ensure civil design inputs timely and correctly delivered to facilitate production of civil design and drawing outputs

• Review design drawings developed by other engineers to ensure accuracy and completeness to design requirements and concepts

• Participate in client and contractor & stakeholder facing technical and progress meetings, and coordinate with contractors and subcontractors to ensure that construction meets specifications,

• Conduct reviews of engineering projects to determine their compliance with local applicable regulations, standards, and codes as well as clients’ requirements

• Oversee and mentor junior staff

• Perform other ad-hoc tasks, if required.

Professional requirements:

• A university degree in civil engineering or similar field

• 7 years of experience in designing of energy or infrastructure projects

• Good command of English and Russian, both written and verbal

• Good working knowledge of GOST standards, local KMK/SHNK codes and international standards and regulations

• Good communication, analytical, problem solving, and critical thinking skills

• Approachable, a good listener, well organized, diligent, self-motivated, and career-oriented

• Ability to work in a team-oriented workspace and adapt to the new fast-growing dynamic environment

• Strong agility and interest in learning new skills and tools

• Open to schedule flexibility that will allow for a variety of shifts as needed as well as potential overtime

• Good user of Microsoft Office packages, Google Workspace, particularly MS Excel and Google Sheets

• Ability to withstand high pressure and deliver results
