Project Description:
Our client produces a software as a service (SaaS) platform that automates the clinical trial process for lifesaving drugs.
Job Summary:
The Build Team works with developers to provide them CI/CD code builds and testable environments for feature and bugfix development. You will be helping with the uptime and maintenance of build agents, consulting on deployment and implementation best practices, defining and documenting process changes and tooling, and helping to implement new tooling for developers and IT to utilize.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Work hours in Pacific Time Zone – stay available until noon PT to overlap with colleagues in the US and Canada, other hours are flexible
- Collaborate with Software Development, QA, and IT to continuously improve the efficiency and reliability of build, configuration management, and deployment processes to support all phases of development
- Maintain and enhance our Continuous Integration/Continuous Deployment environments on a real-time basis, monitor builds, maintain configuration, and develop automation
- Support continuous integration model - Configure automated builds and deploys to QA, DEV, Stage, Production, and other environments
- Rapidly troubleshoot application configuration issues in .NET/.NET Core environment build deployments
- Participate in the documentation, communication, and enforcement of the build engineering processes.
Required Skills:
- Effective communication in English (both oral and written) is a must have
- Higher education
- Experience with build tools like Dotnet, MSBuild
- Experience with deployment tools like Kubernetes
- Understanding of development with C# Programming and .NET Web applications to develop and support internal tools
- Strong experience in application management and troubleshooting skills
- Experience with cloud providers such as GCP, Azure, or AWS
- Experience in PowerShell and shell scripting
- Comfortable working in both Windows and Linux environments
- Version control – Git
Desired Skills:
- 3+ years of relevant build and release engineering experience for enterprise software products
- Building and packaging of .NET websites, Windows services, and containers
- Experience working with DevOps/Site Reliability Engineering methodologies
- Experience configuring Jenkins or Azure DevOps
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with frequent software releases
- Good knowledge of IIS, Windows Server/Server Core, and Kubernetes/containers
