Chief Accountant

We are looking for a Chief Accountant to join our team in Uzbekistan. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing accounting operations, ensuring compliance with local legislation and international standards, and supervising the accounting team.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage and oversee the full cycle of accounting operations in accordance with local legislation and company policies.

• Prepare and submit financial, tax, and statistical reports in compliance with regulatory requirements.

• Ensure accurate bookkeeping and proper documentation of financial transactions.

• Maintain compliance with IFRS and local accounting standards.

• Manage daily banking operations and monitor company cash flow.

• Implement and maintain internal control procedures and accounting policies.

• Participate in the development and optimization of the 1C accounting system.

• Coordinate with external auditors, banks, and other stakeholders.

• Supervise and mentor the accounting team, ensuring high-quality and timely work.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or Economics.

• 5–7 years of accounting experience, including managerial experience.

• Proven experience in construction companies or energy/engineering projects is required.

• Strong knowledge of IFRS, local accounting standards, tax regulations, and reporting requirements.

• Strong proficiency in 1C Accounting system.

• Fluency in Uzbek and Russian.

• English – intermediate level or higher (for communication with Head Office).

• Chinese is an advantage.

• Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.

• High level of accuracy, responsibility, and attention to detail.

• Good communication and leadership abilities.
