Backend Developer (Node.js)

Andersen is hiring a Backend Developer (Node.js) to work on developing and managing high-performance gambling platforms, ensuring secure payments, stability, and seamless user experiences.

The customer is a technology company offering B2B solutions for online platforms, focusing on scalable, high-performance systems with complex integrations and real-time user interactions. Their products include back-office tools, APIs, and management systems, designed for fast deployment and stability in diverse markets.

The project is focused on developing and managing gambling and betting platforms, offering custom solutions for other businesses. The platform features secure payment systems, high-security measures, and user-friendly interfaces to ensure seamless and safe user experiences.

Responsibilities:

• Troubleshooting complex bugs and technical errors that arise in website operation.
• Processing and resolving tickets from customers escalated to level L3.
• Ensuring prompt restoration of system functionality in the event of critical failures.
• Participating in on-call duty for incident response (availability bonus).
• Bug fixing during non-working hours (for bonuses/overtime) to minimize business downtime.
• Supporting a unified architecture: implementation of fixes and updates based on the “one update for all sites on the network” principle.
• Ensuring that bug fixes are correctly synchronized between all client copies of the platform.

Must-haves:

• Experience in backend development for 4+ years.
• Proficiency in Node.js, including understanding of server-side logic, API operation, and integrations.
• Experience working with MongoDB, skills in writing complex queries, and understanding the structure of NoSQL data to fix errors in the database.
• Ability to read other people's code, use logging tools, and quickly find the root cause of a failure.
• Experience working in Discord or similar, ability to clearly describe the solution to the problem in the ticket.
• Readiness to be on-call and promptly connect to work outside of working hours.
• Ability to make independent decisions when resolving incidents.
• Level of English – from Intermediate and above.

Nice-to-haves:

• Experience in the gambling industry.
• Experience in L3 support or maintenance, experience in stabilizing finished products.
• Experience with cross-platforming.
