Stewarding Supervisor is a critical leadership role responsible for the "heart of the house." You will oversee the daily kitchen utility operations, ensuring the highest luxury standards of cleanliness and efficiency
Responsibilities:
- Manage daily shift operations, including dish room activities, night cleaning, and the maintenance of the back dock and storage areas
- Enforce strict compliance with HACCP and local health regulations, ensuring all kitchens and F&B outlets meet brand hygiene standards
- Conduct regular inventories of chinaware, glassware, and silver; manage the distribution and recording of chemical usage
- Lead the set-up for banquet functions, coordinating with the Banquet Chef to ensure all required equipment is delivered accurately and on time
- Assist in hiring, scheduling, and training stewarding staff on proper breakdown procedures, safety, and chemical handling
- Verify the correct operation of kitchen machinery (dishwashers, trash compactors) and report any malfunctions to the Engineering department immediately
Candidate Profile:
- At least 2 years of experience in stewarding or kitchen operations within a luxury hotel environment
- Minimum of 1 year of supervisory experience, with a proven ability to motivate and coach a diverse team
- Ability to stand or walk for extended shifts and lift/move objects weighing up to 15 kg
- A valid Food Safety certification is highly desirable
