QA/QC Engineer – Overhead Transmission Line (OHTL 220–500 kV)

Project: Construction of 500 kV Overhead Transmission Line
Location: Uzbekistan (project field locations, travel as required)

🔎 Job Description

We are seeking an experienced QA/QC Engineer to join our team on the 500 kV OHL project. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring quality compliance across construction activities for high-voltage transmission line works and related installations.

Key Responsibilities:

• Perform structural inspections of OHTL towers.

• Monitor and enforce QA/QC procedures for foundations and installation works.

• Supervise quality of conductor stringing and hardware installations.

• Inspect materials including steel towers, insulators, conductors, and line hardware.

• Prepare, review, and maintain test & commissioning documentation.

• Coordinate QA/QC activities with engineering, site teams, and contractors.

• Complete inspection reports, ITP checklists, MIRs, and punch lists accurately and on time.

📌 Requirements

Experience:

• Minimum 6+ years in QA/QC within construction or power sector.

• 3–5 years directly on OHTL 220–500 kV or high-voltage substation projects.

Technical Experience with:

• Tower structural inspections and erection processes.

• Foundation QA/QC practices.

• Conductor stringing quality control.

• Material inspection (towers, insulators, hardware).

• Test & commissioning documentation.

Preferred Certificates:

• TB (ТБ) – Safety Training

• Electrical Safety Certificate – Group III or IV

• Work-at-Height Safety

• Basic ISO 9001 Quality Awareness

Minimum Technical Knowledge:

• Ability to prepare and fill ITP checklists, MIRs, and punch lists.

• Solid understanding of OHL components: towers, insulators, clamps, conductors.

Experience Inspecting:

• Tower assembly and erection quality.

• Bolt tightening & torque verification.

• Concrete foundation QA/QC.

• Conductor stringing & tensioning control.

• Line hardware installation and verification.
