Job Summary:

The Airport VIP Service Specialist is responsible for the end-to-end coordination, regulation, and operational oversight of VIP and protocol flights, ensuring seamless handling of high-profile guests, governmental delegations, and official visits.

The role ensures premium service standards, regulatory compliance, and effective coordination between airport departments, external authorities, and the airport’s managing/operating company. This position safeguards the airport’s reputation at national and international levels by delivering secure, discreet, and protocol-compliant VIP services.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

Operational & VIP Coordination

  • Regulate and coordinate important flights (VIP, diplomatic, governmental, official delegations).
  • Oversee preparation and readiness of the VIP lounge and associated facilities.
  • Ensure compliance with aviation security, customs, immigration, and protocol requirements.
  • Coordinate aircraft stand allocation, ground handling, and escort arrangements for VIP flights.
  • Protocol & Government Liaison
  • Liaise with governmental authorities (border control, customs, security agencies, protocol services).
  • Coordinate official welcoming procedures for state delegations and high-ranking officials.
  • Ensure adherence to diplomatic and protocol standards.

Stakeholder Coordination

  • Act as focal point between airport operations and the airport operating/management company.
  • Coordinate with airlines, ground handling agents, catering, security, and cleaning services.
  • Facilitate communication between internal departments to ensure smooth VIP operations.
  • Service Quality & Compliance
  • Maintain high standards of hospitality and confidentiality.
  • Identify service improvement opportunities within VIP operations.
  • Prepare operational reports related to VIP movements and visits.
  • Ensure risk mitigation and contingency planning for sensitive or high-profile visits.

QUALIFICATIONS & REQUIREMENTS:

  • Bachelor’s degree.
  • Minimum 1-3 years of experience, preferably in airport operations, VIP services, aviation protocol, or high-level hospitality.
  • Experience working with governmental or diplomatic stakeholders is highly desirable.
  • Knowledge of aviation security procedures.
  • Understanding of diplomatic protocol standards.
  • Familiarity with airport operational flow and ground handling coordination.
  • Fluency Kazakh and Russian, knowledge of English is an advantage.

  • Office location - Almaty International Airport, Mailin St. 42
  • Work schedule 5 days per week, working hours from 8.00 to 17.00 (lunch break from 12.00 to 13.00)
