On behalf of a leading real estate investment company in Limassol, we are seeking an experienced lawyer with a common law background. The role involves legal support of complex real estate transactions, with a strong focus on deal structuring, drafting and negotiations skills and coordination with external advisers across multiple jurisdictions (experience with Switzerland, Monaco and Luxembourg is an advantage). Previous experience with the financial instruments will be considered a plus.
Key Responsibilities:
- Independent work under Leading Lawyer’s mentorship
- Handling of day-to-day legal matters, various projects, including participation in negotiations.
- Assist with structuring real estate investment transactions
- Review, analyze and brief the main terms of legal documentation related to real estate deals
- Draft, review, comment on, and revise commercial contracts and corporate documents.
- Conduct of legal Due Diligence of transaction
- Liaise with local lawyers, notaries, and other external service providers in various jurisdictions
- Identification and delivery of optimal solutions
Requirements:
- LLB is required. Preferably from an English or Scottish or Cyprus University. Holder of a LLM degree will be considered as an advantage
- Have completed or be prepared to undertake the Cyprus Bar examinations
- At least 5 years of prior experience in common law jurisdiction, preferably in real estate sector. Previous experience in Big4 or in international projects is an advantage
- Knowledge of UK or Cyprus law is highly desirable
- Solid knowledge of Corporate, Commercial Law
- Knowledge of AML legislation and procedures, GDRP law
- Previous experience of working with the Switzerland, Luxembourg, Monaco is an advantage
- Proficiency with the reviewing and drafting of various commercial contracts
- Ability to work effectively in cross-border and multi-jurisdictional transactions
- Excellent analytical, drafting, and communication skills
- High attention to detail and commercial awareness

- Fluency in English, knowledge of French and/or Russian and/or Greek would be considered a plus
