Go Developer

Andersen is hiring a Go Developer to build and evolve backend services for a scalable product ecosystem, improving architecture, APIs, and cloud practices while enhancing customer experience.

The customer is an international product company operating in a consumer-focused market and delivering physical goods supported by technology and research. The project is focused on the architecture, design, and evolution of a technology platform that enables the business to scale from traditional e-commerce to a comprehensive SleepTech ecosystem. The team delivers product and backend features impacting customer experience and key metrics, while advancing a service-oriented, API-first cloud environment, improving CI/CD, DevOps, and SRE practices.

Responsibilities:

• Architecting, designing and implementing Emma’s technology platform, supporting growth from E-commerce into SleepTech.
• Implementing product features that will help improve people’s sleep and support Emma’s core business.
• Implementing backend services in a services-oriented architecture (API first) in a cloud-native environment.
• Developing, maintaining and operating the team’s tech stack.
• Contribution to the improvement of the CI&CD and DevOps & SRE practices.
• Taking part in recruitment processes to grow the tech team.

Must-have:

• Experience designing and delivering APIs and backend services meeting the highest software quality standards for 2+ years.
• Experience with Infrastructure as Code (IaC).
• Extensive knowledge of computer science fundamentals, incl. data structures, object-oriented programming and software design patterns (GoF and cloud-native).
• Several years of proven experience in software development and operation practices covering the full software development lifecycle, ideally in an E-commerce business.
• Deep understanding of Go.
• Experience with multiple databases (RDMBS, NoSQL, Redis, etc) and messaging services (Kafka, RabbitMQ, SQS), ideally run in a cloud (e.g. AWS).
• Understanding the importance of well-organized codebase and documentation.
• Capability of implementing units, integration, end-to-end and load tests.
• Strong analytical skills and are an open-minded and creative team player.
• Experience with TypeScript (using an existing codebase, making minor changes, writing small utilities).
• Level of English – Upper-Intermediate and above.

Nice-to-Haves:

• Microsoft Azure certifications.
• Experience in legacy E-commerce stacks (I.e. Magento and PHP).
