Mobile QA (Manual + Automation)

A software development company is looking for a great, long-term Mobile QA Full Stack (Manual + Automation).

The company’s creating the world’s most used route sequencing and optimization software for small businesses and enterprises. With over 35,000 customers, the company helps last mile businesses save tremendous amounts of money, time, and labor. Moreover, provides seamless continuity through the entire route planning, route dispatch, route navigation, and tracking process. 

They utilize microservice architecture, modern DevOps practices, and AI-driven systems for products for route optimization and processing. They heavily invest in automation at every level. QA team consists of over 20 engineers, ensuring product stability and quality.

Responsibilities:

• Design, develop, and maintain mobile UI automation and API test coverage

(Android/iOS);

• Build and evolve automation frameworks using OOP principles; design reusable,

scalable test architecture;

• Execute manual testing (functional/regression/exploratory) and apply strong test

design techniques;

• Perform mobile testing on real devices and emulators/simulators; use device farms

when applicable;

• Conduct end-to-end and integration testing across mobile apps, backend services,

and third-party integrations;

• Set up, maintain, and troubleshoot CI pipelines for automated tests (e.g., Jenkins,

GitLab CI), including reporting and flaky test stabilization;

• Use engineering tools for testing and debugging: Android Studio/Xcode, network

proxy tools (Charles/Fiddler), logs, and crash reports;

• Evaluate mobile UI/UX against platform best practices (iOS HIG, Android Material),

identify usability issues, and propose improvements;

• Create and maintain test documentation and reporting for manual and automated

testing (e.g., Allure; TestOps integration when applicable);

• Leverage AI/LLM tools to speed up requirements analysis, log investigation, test

idea generation, and automation improvements; integrate insights into daily QA

workflows;

• Collaborate closely with Developers, DevOps Engineers, and the Product team to

ensure quality across the release lifecycle;

• Investigate, reproduce, and document defects with clear steps, evidence, and

impact; drive issues through resolution.

Required skills and experience:

• Experience: 3+ years in automated testing (AQA/SDET); solid manual testing

foundation.

• Core fundamentals: Strong OOP knowledge; understanding of test automation

architecture and patterns.

• Programming: Java (preferred); JavaScript or Python as a plus.
• Mobile automation: Appium (plus Appium Inspector) or comparable mobile

automation tools; understanding of mobile locators, waits, gestures, and

mobile-specific flakiness.

• API testing: Strong REST API testing skills; experience with RestAssured or similar

frameworks; understanding of auth (OAuth/JWT), status codes, contracts.

• CI/CD: Understanding of CI concepts and hands-on experience with Jenkins/GitLab

CI (pipelines, artifacts, reports).

• Tooling: Android Studio and/or Xcode; Charles/Fiddler (or similar proxies);

Maven/Gradle; Docker; Allure reporting.

• UI/UX analytical skills: Familiarity with iOS HIG and Android Material Design;

ability to assess usability and consistency.

• AI-driven QA: Confident use of AI/LLM tools for test analysis and quality

improvement (prompting, complex querying, summarization).

Must have:

• Own Android and iOS devices for testing (required).

As a plus:

●Hands-on experience with BrowserStack (or similar) for scaling mobile test

coverage (parallel runs, device matrix management, stability tuning).

●Experience with mobile performance profiling (Xcode Instruments, Android

Profiler): startup time, rendering, network, CPU/battery.

●Familiarity with mobile CI/CD & distribution (Fastlane, TestFlight, Google Play

Internal Testing) and signing/provisioning basics.

●Hands-on with crash analytics / observability tools (Firebase Crashlytics, Sentry,

Datadog/New Relic).

●Experience with API contract testing and working with OpenAPI/Swagger

specifications.

●Experience with mocking/stubbing for integration tests (WireMock, MockServer)

and test data/environment management.
