The Customer Development Leader is responsible for delivering business segment objectives and increasing the customer’s share of volume through the execution of strategic sales priorities while ensuring maximum cost efficiency. The role includes developing and implementing comprehensive customer business plans to deliver the Annual Operating Plan within the approved trade investment budget.
What are we looking for?
- Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration or equivalent
- 3+ years of experience in Sales, Marketing, or Category Management within FMCG
- Proven experience managing key accounts
- Strong understanding of core business processes, analytical tools (including Nielsen), and trade management systems
- Fluency in English, both in speaking and writing
What will be your key responsibilities?
- Full ownership of customer P&L and execution of the agreed activity plan, including presentation, alignment, and implementation of sales and marketing programs at the retailer level.
- Management of the trade investment budget in line with Mars policies and within approved financial limits.
- Development and execution of comprehensive customer business plans to achieve volume, market share, and profitability targets
- Provision of timely insights, category expertise, and clear priorities; consolidation and reporting of retail feedback on executional gaps and growth opportunities.
- Delivery of category analytics to the customer and development of data-driven recommendations to accelerate category growth
- Effective collaboration with internal Mars departments (Marketing, Finance, Supply, Planning, Category Management) to ensure strategic alignment, forecasting accuracy, and flawless execution.
- Building strong cross-functional relationships on the customer side (Buying, Category Management, Marketing, Finance, Supply Chain) to drive sustainable, mutually beneficial commercial outcomes and long-term partnership development.
