Responsibilities:

​​​​​​Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

*Coordinate and oversee maintenance, housekeeping, security, and grounds services.
*Prepare and manage budgets related to facilities, maintenance, security, and grounds.
*Develop, prepare, and review specifications for quotes related to buildings, security, and grounds.
*Requisition and evaluate the purchase of supplies, equipment, and contracted services, ensuring compliance with procurement standards and contractual requirements.
*Maintain accurate computer-based inventories of all fixed assets in line with accounting practices.
*Regularly review campus security procedures and recommend improvements as appropriate.
*Ensure an effective priority system is maintained for work orders.
*Design and implement preventative maintenance programs to ensure cleanliness, safety, efficiency, and cost effectiveness.
*Provide recommendations to the Director regarding recruitment, supervision, and performance management of facilities-related staff.
*Ensure compliance with health, safety, and environmental regulations across all facilities.
*Lead and support facilities staff, including training and performance management.
*Implement energy efficiency and sustainability initiatives to optimize operations.
*Support school events by coordinating facilities setup, logistics, and safety requirements.

Capital Projects:
*Supervise and inspect new construction and renovation projects carried out by external contractors.
*Verify contractor compliance with contractual terms before approving progress and final payments.
*Work collaboratively with Board-appointed engineers, architects, consultants, and other specialists.
*Ensure full compliance with local laws, safety regulations, building codes, and maintenance standards.

Requirements:

​​​​​​Minimum Qualification:
*University degree in Engineering or related discipline
*Minimum of five years experience preferably in an international school
*Proficiency in English
*Experience in local government licensing and approvals
*HSSE experience and training a big plus

Conditions:

The Facilities Manager is responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operational functions of the school, ensuring that facilities, services, and infrastructure support a safe, efficient, and well-maintained learning environment. The role reports directly to the Director and works closely with the School Leadership Team to support both routine operations and long-term strategic planning.
