Senior consultant (FP&A), Digital CFO group, Consulting Department

We are expanding our Digital CFO / FP&A Automation practice and are looking for a Senior Consultant to join our team in Almaty or Astana. In this role, you will work on budgeting, forecasting and integrated planning automation projects, collaborating closely with CFOs and FP&A leaders to translate business requirements into robust, scalable EPM solutions.

As our Senior Consultant (FP&A), you will:

• Lead or support the management and execution of projects.
• Ensure all deliverables produced by the engagement team meet quality standards.
• Contribute to business-development efforts: take part in tenders, prepare proposals, nurture client relationships, and support the growth of the FP&A function.
• Act as a senior functional and methodological expert on FP&A automation projects (Anaplan and other EPM platforms).
• Design target FP&A processes and models: budgeting, forecasting, rolling forecast, strategic and investment planning.
• Develop functional specifications, data models, calculation logic and planning workflows, user stories and test scenarios.
• Participate in Anaplan model design and hands-on configuration. Interact with client CFOs, FP&A heads and business owners to capture requirements and translate them into system logic.

You’re the perfect match for this role if you:

— Have 5+ years of experience in FP&A, planning/economics departments of large companies and/or in FP&A or IT consulting

• Have hands-on experience designing FP&A systems and target processes (budgeting, forecasting, strategic and investment planning), including methodology and business process design
• Have participated in or led projects on financial planning automation using modern EPM/IT solutions (Anaplan, SAP BPC, IBM Cognos, Oracle Hyperion Planning, 1C ERP, BI tools, etc.)
• Are confident in financial modelling and planning logic (P&L, cash flow, balance sheet, capex, workforce planning, cost allocation, scenarios)
• Understand current FP&A trends such as integrated planning, rolling forecasting and agile planning, and can apply them in practice
• Communicate confidently with CFOs, FP&A leaders and business stakeholders and can translate business logic into system and model architecture
• Have strong analytical and systems thinking, are structured, detail-oriented and quality-driven
• Work well in teams, are ready to mentor others and take ownership of your work
• Have English at upper-intermediate level or higher
