Business Controller

KT&G Global Kazakhstan LLP is seeking a Business Controller to join our team in Almaty. This role is pivotal in identifying and managing risks across our business operations and ensuring financial performance is accurately analyzed and reported to headquarters.

As a Business Controller, you will conduct risk diagnoses, analyze financial and manufacturing indicators, manage whistleblowing investigations, and support internal audit functions. You will also collaborate with both our sales and manufacturing entities to ensure robust business control and compliance.

Key Responsibilities

• Monitor and identify risk factors affecting profitability and operations.
• Perform regular and ad hoc risk diagnoses and report findings to HQ.
• Analyze financial statements and manufacturing indicators; prepare and submit reports to HQ.
• Manage the whistleblowing program and investigate reported concerns.
• Conduct monthly SAP CO-PA module closings and ensure timely reporting.
• Review major expenditures, contracts, and regulatory changes.
• Monitor productivity, inventory, and quality indicators in the manufacturing plant.
• Conduct exit interviews and report key findings to HQ.

Performance Indicators

• Timely and accurate financial analysis and reporting.
• Effective risk identification and mitigation.
• Compliance with SAP CO-PA closing schedules.
• Quality of whistleblowing investigations and reporting.
• Insightful exit interview analysis and improvement recommendations.

Qualifications

• Education: Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Audit, or a related field.
• Experience: Minimum 3 years in Risk Management, Auditing, or Accounting.
• Language: Fluent English required.
• Technical Skills: Strong knowledge of IFRS and corporate tax law; Proficiency in SAP ERP systems and Microsoft Office (Excel, PowerPoint); Understanding of business strategy, internal control, and performance management.
