One of the world’s leading producers of high-quality construction solution is currently looking for a Health, Safety & Environment (HSE / EHS) Manager to join its team in Tashkent.
Requirements
Higher education in Occupational Health & Safety, Environmental Protection, or Industrial Safety (preferred).
At least 3 years of experience in a similar role within an industrial/manufacturing environment.
Strong knowledge and practical application of the legislation and regulatory requirements of the Republic of Uzbekistan in the areas of Occupational Health & Safety, Industrial Safety, and Environmental Protection.
Proven experience in implementing and integrating corporate EHS systems and policies.
Experience working with and implementing international standards related to occupational safety and environmental management (ISO 45001, ISO 14001).
Skills in conducting internal audits, incident investigations, Root Cause Analysis (RCA), and risk assessments.
Experience in delivering safety briefings, employee training, and occupational risk assessments.
Knowledge and practical application of critical safety procedures: Permit to Work (PTW), Lockout/Tagout (LOTO), confined space entry, and working at height.
Experience in contractor safety management and behavior-based safety (BBS) programs.
Confident PC user (MS Office) and experience with EHS software/tools and registers (incidents, risks, training, KPI).
Valid certificates/licenses in occupational health and industrial safety are an advantage.
Languages: Russian and Uzbek — fluent; English — Intermediate or higher (for documentation and communication with international colleagues).
Responsibilities
Integration of corporate HSE/EHS policies and systems: adaptation to local legislation of the Republic of Uzbekistan, localization of documentation, implementation planning, and execution control.
Implementation, maintenance, and continuous improvement of occupational health, safety, and environmental management systems in compliance with ISO 45001 and ISO 14001; preparation for certification and internal audits.
Ensuring compliance with the legislation of the Republic of Uzbekistan and corporate standards; conducting inspections and implementing corrective and preventive actions.
Development and regular update of local regulations, instructions, and procedures (PTW, LOTO, confined space, working at height, PPE).
Identification, assessment, and management of occupational and environmental risks; maintenance of registers, KPIs, and corporate reporting.
Delivery of induction and periodic safety training; development of a strong safety culture (BBS, communication).
Investigation of incidents and occupational accidents, root cause analysis, and implementation of preventive measures.
Environmental management: waste management, emissions and discharges control, compliance monitoring, and impact reduction plans.
Contractor and visitor safety management: requirements, permits, and performance monitoring.
Emergency preparedness and response: emergency plans, drills, and coordination with relevant services.
Interaction with regulatory authorities and external auditors; preparation of mandatory reports.
Documentation management and corporate reporting (including English-language documentation); participation in international projects.
