Andersen is hiring a Project Manager. The project focuses on modernizing a legacy web application (player portal) by migrating to a modern architecture, improving backend, UI, and API, and reducing technical debt.

The project is focused on modernizing a legacy web application (a player portal). The goal is to gradually migrate the system to a modern architecture by moving business logic to the backend, rewriting the UI and API, and reducing technical debt, all while maintaining product continuity and scalability.
Responsibilities:
- Owning and maintaining the end-to-end delivery roadmap for the modernization program.
- Breaking down high-level modernization initiatives into actionable, prioritized milestones.
- Tracking progress across multiple streams and ensuring predictable execution during incremental releases.
- Coordinating daily work across Backend (.NET), Frontend (React), QA, UI/UX, and Architecture teams.
- Facilitating alignment between engineering groups working simultaneously on legacy and modernized components.
- Driving clarity around scope, dependencies, acceptance criteria, and technical constraints.
- Identifying, communicating, and mitigating risks related to modernization, legacy dependencies, and cross-layer integrations.
- Ensuring consistent visibility of timelines, blockers, and delivery commitments.
- Serving as the primary communication bridge between engineering teams and client stakeholders.
- Conducting regular steering meetings, status reporting, and expectation management.
Must-haves:
- Experience as a Project Management in software development for 4+ years.
- Proven experience managing modernization, migration, or large-scale refactoring programs.
- Strong understanding of SDLC, Agile/Scrum frameworks, and multi-team coordination.
- Experience working with distributed engineering teams across time zones.
- Excellent communication, stakeholder management, and escalation handling skills.
- Ability to manage onsite visits, workshops, and alignment sessions with the client.
- Strong analytical and organizational skills with attention to detail.
- Level of English – from Upper-Intermediate and above.
Nice to Have:
- Experience modernizing legacy enterprise platforms (ASP.NET, SQL Server, monolith-to-services).
- Technical understanding of web architectures (React, .NET Core, REST APIs).
- Background in software delivery within gaming, enterprise or high-scale digital environments.
- Experience setting up delivery reporting frameworks and KPIs for long-term programs.
