Junior Test Engineer (Formpipe)

The solution is a grant management system that provides an opportunity of administration of grants and makes possible objective case handling and administration by caseworker. The system has two clients: an existing desktop client for Windows and a web client, which is currently being built with the main goal of​ increasing performance of case workers​. The system is mainly used in Danish public sector with several customers in Sweden. The main technologies are C#, Javascript, Typescript, SQL, Powershell for scripts.

Job Description

We are looking for Junior Test Engineer who is willing to execute testing activities on elaborated solutions or their parts following existent software testing process.

Responsibilities

• Execute test cases and document test results for web and mobile applications;
• Collaborate within the development team and product manager to understand and clarify the requirements and system functionality;
• Create and maintain test cases, scenarios and checklists for system functionality;
• Provide regular and accurate updates on testing progress status, including completed test cases, bugs found, and any blockers encountered;
• Prepare test summary reports and provide clear, concise documentation of test results;
• Actively participate in team meetings, including sprint planning, daily stand-ups, retrospective sessions etc;
• Contribute to the improvement of testing processes and methodologies, suggesting ideas for efficiency.

Requirements

• Understanding of different types of testing (functional, non-functional, regression, etc.) and their application;
• Understanding of software development life cycle (SDLC) and testing methodologies;
• Familiarity with bug tracking systems and test management tools like Jira or similar;
• Good knowledge of test design techniques and the ability to create comprehensive test documentation (test cases, checklists, etc.);
• Good analytical skills and attention to detail;
• Willingness to learn and grow within the field of software testing;
• Good communication skills to collaborate with cross-functional team;
• At least Intermediate level of written English and intermediate level of spoken English as all team communication is in English.

Nice to have

• Experience with testing of desktop applications
• Basic knowledge of databases and SQL
• Experience with ALM tools like AzureDevOps
