Position Summary

BostonGene is seeking a Scientific and Market Insights Analyst to strengthen our strategic, medical and commercial decision making. This role combines pharma analytics, market intelligence and scientific understanding to identify opportunities, evaluate companies and assets. The ideal candidate understands the pharmaceutical and oncology landscape, is skilled in data interpretation and can translate complex information into clear, actionable insights. This role sits at the intersection of science, strategy and business development. Your insights will shape how BostonGene identifies new pharma partners, enters strategic conversations and positions its solutions in a rapidly evolving landscape.

Key Responsibilities

Market and Competitive Intelligence

• Monitor scientific, clinical and industry developments across oncology, immunology & diagnostics.

• Identify market and hidden signals that indicate strategic needs of pharmaceutical companies.

• Analyze company portfolios, pipelines, partnerships, funding activity and organizational changes.

• Conduct competitor analysis and summarize their strategies, assets, and positioning.

• Evaluate companies and assets to determine where BostonGene can create value.

• Support Sales with structured insights on early stages of communication.

In-Sales Analytical Support

• Perform deep dive analyses of pharmaceutical companies, clinical programs and scientific rationales.

• Prepare data driven presentations, opportunity summaries, and strategic briefs.

• Work cross functionally with Sales, Product, Medical and Leadership teams to align insights with business needs.

Conference Intelligence and Strategic Preparation

• Analyze scientific and industry conferences to identify relevant stakeholders and emerging trends.

• Prepare conference specific target lists, opportunity maps and analytical materials.

• Track scientific sessions, publications and presentations to identify new opportunities.

Salesforce Insights and Account Management Support

• Support the enhancement of CRM processes for pharma opportunities.

• Contribute to configuration, optimization and continuous improvement of CRM workflows

• Monitor data quality, usage and adoption of CRM processes to ensure accurate data tracking.

• Generate account management insights and dashboards to improve Sales processes.

Qualifications / Experience

• Higher education in Medicine, Biology, Chemistry, Pharmacy, Economy, Marketing or a related scientific field.

• Experience in pharma, biotech, diagnostics, healthcare consulting or scientific analytics.

• Understanding of oncology, clinical research, molecular biology or immunology is preferred.

• Ability to interpret scientific publications, clinical trial data, company pipelines and market events.

• Experience working with large datasets, analytical tools or competitive intelligence platforms is preferred.

• Ability to synthesize complex scientific and business information into clear insights.

• Skilled in forming hypotheses, validating them and identifying strategic implications.

• Understanding of pharmaceutical business models, asset lifecycles and decision making.

• Ability to evaluate commercial potential, competitive positioning and unmet needs.

• Clear written communication for scientific and business audiences.

• Ability to present findings concisely and persuasively to internal stakeholders.

• Ability to manage multiple parallel tasks in a fast moving environment.

• Proficiency in data analysis tools is an advantage.

• Experience with, Python, R, Power BI. Tableau or similar platforms is a plus.

• Strong English communication skills for written briefs, presentations and outreach materials.
