Engineer, Process Control/Automation – Senior - Advisor, Process Control/Automation Engineering

• Handles complex (e.g., complicated inferential calculations, control strategies) and non-routine support tasks and develops improved methods for supported systems and applications.
• Manages multiple assignments concurrently including tasks that outside of his/her work group.
• Develops new and improved control/process/technical strategies and methods.
• Performs performance audits in his/her discipline for his/her supported plant/systems/applications and for non- supported plant/systems/applications.
• Contributes high-level inputs into major designs and redesigns.
• Provides technical assistance to multiple facilities and initiatives that span multiple sites.
• Initiates tasks/projects within his/her disicipine and in cross-functional disciplines to support uninterrupted operation of process control systems and/or its infrastructure.
• Mentor new engineers or engineers under development in one or more strategic areas, including conducting formal classes (e.g., advance control) in his/her discipline or on regulatory requirements.
• Plays a leadership role in major alliances with key vendors (e.g., Schneider and Honeywell).
• Participates in and/or represents the organization in groups or teams (e.g., PCN Center of Excellence) to exchange and share knowledge between operating organizations.
• Fully analyzes and resolves complex systems and/or application problems, and fully analyzes/develops potential upgrades to systems and/or applications.
• Supervises and helps develop less experienced engineers. Prioritize own and group’s tasks to best implement the organization's plans and cutovers.
• Support MOC (Management of Change) process
• Contributors to the organization’s decisions on technical issues in relations to operating the plant (e.g., ECS, SCADA or DCS control) or controlling data flows (e.g., network designs).
• Performs or supports the performance of actions to maintain the process control systems and/or its infrastructure at a high security level to minimize cybersecurity threats.

• Higher Professional engineering degree in Automation and Controls.
• 15 years of experience in Oil & Gas Process Automation Systems.
• Experience of 10+ years in Electrical Control Systems design, software development, testing.
• In-depth knowledge of hot cutover of electrical drives.
• In-depth experience in Schneider PcVue, EcoSUI, Zenon, MicroSCADA Pro SYS600 HMI applications.
• Experience in control system and IED (Intelligent electronic device) loop checks, function testing and commissioning of systems.
• Well knowledgeable of Low Voltage and High Voltage electrical equipment.
• Knowledge of Automation Technical Engineering standards and requirements.
• Knowledge of different communication protocols (Modbus, DeviceNet, Ethernet/IP) and network architectures from end devices to and between PLCs, SCADA, Process Control System.
• Understanding of Electrical and Process Automation system design.
• Basic knowledge of Honeywell Experion SCADA, Honeywell Safety Manager/C300.
