Middle .NET/C# Engineer

Digiteum, a custom software development company, is looking for a Backend Engineer (.NET/C#) to join our team and work on an exciting project. The Client is the world leader in human language technology and the primary provider of quality lexical data to academics, technologists, and businesses around the globe.

Together, we build and support lexical products which are licensed and used by startups and tech giants (Amazon, Apple, Google, Microsoft) to develop NLP software, search engines, multilingual applications, and machine translators.

What will you be helping us with?

You’ll work on projects that bring language data to life. Specifically, you will:

• Improve and extend the dictionary conversion pipeline for lexical data

• Parse and process structured and unstructured dictionary data (XML, CSV, PDF, TXT, JSON, etc.)

• Convert dictionary data into target XML formats for further use

• Create and maintain CLI tools and scripts to automate conversion processes

• Collaborate closely with QAs and PM to ensure quality and accuracy of lexical data

• Proactively identify and implement improvements to parsing, data conversion, and overall workflow

Must-have

• 2+ years of hands-on experience in C# and .NET (Core 6.0 or later preferred)
  (experience debugging/working with legacy .NET Framework code is a plus)
• Solid experience working with tabular data (CSV/Excel) and structured text formats (JSON/XML)
• Strong understanding of Regex, including performance and pattern design (used daily)
• Experience with desktop application development or understanding of desktop app architecture/patterns (MVVM/MVC etc.)
• Strong data-analysis mindset — ability to inspect, clean, transform, and structure data for downstream processing
• Comfortable working independently while collaborating with a small agile team (Scrum)
• Good written and spoken English (B2+)

It’s nice if you also have:

• Familiarity with ANTLR or other parsing/grammar tools
• Experience writing small CLI utilities/tools for automation
• Knowledge of text processing algorithms or lexical data processing
• Basic scripting (PowerShell / Bash)
• Basic experience with databases or REST APIs
• Python exposure on basic scripting
• Interest in linguistics or working with multilingual text
