Tour Leader Central Asia

We’re excited to expand and open a local Intrepid Travel office in Tashkent, Uzebekistan – and you can be a part of this fantastic team!

Do you love Central Asia and sharing it with others? We are currently recruiting freelance Tour Leaders to operate our exciting Intrepid tours across Central Asia including Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Tajikistan, Turkmenistan, and Uzbekistan.

As a Tour Leader with Intrepid Travel, you get the opportunity to share your country and culture with travellers from all over the world and create unforgettable moments they’ll treasure for a lifetime!

Responsibilities:

• Be the face of Intrepid Travel and provide exceptional customer service
• Host, lead and execute tours to budget, following the itinerary and ensuring the overall successful operation of each trip
• Ensure the safety and well-being of your travellers, assisting with any difficult situations that may arise.
• Tell stories, deliver travel advice and organise your customers’ experience
• Reconfirming suppliers, hotels, activities and doing administration along the way

• Previous Tour Guiding/Leading experience across any or all of the Central Asian countries
• Full rights to work across the region, with a Tourist Guide license
• Passionate for travel in the Intrepid style and sharing your region with our travellers
• Great availability during our peak seasons to lead our trips
• Good communication skills in English and local languages, with the ability to communicate with people from varied cultures and backgrounds
• Basic computer skills including email, word and excel

• This is a freelance contract position
• With extended hours, lots of walking and activities, and engaging with travellers, it’s important that you are prepared both mentally and physically for the challenge!
• You’ll need the ability to travel and spend time away from home, as our leaders often travel for extensive periods at a time and some tours can span up to four weeks.
