Data Engineer

We are looking for an experienced Data Engineer to join our IT Team.

What awaits you?

• Close collaboration with the BMW national sales company (NSC) business units to gain an understanding of required reports.
• Translate business needs to data and reporting requirements.
• Responsible for creation and further development of market data analysis and respective reports as per the business requirements.
• Design and develop advanced reporting solutions with BI & Business Analytics Software by using multiple data sources.
• Create, modify and maintain data queries, data pipelines and jobs.
• Responsible for application development, maintenance and operations of BI and DWH in the IT DevOps team of BMW national sales company.
• Cooperation with local and central business and IT departments regarding requirements and integration of functional enhancements for BMW’s technical solutions.
• Interact with local business teams and IT as well as with local IT providers to ensure delivery of projects and maintenance tasks in time and quality.

What you should bring along?

• 3+ years work experience as Data Engineer.
• Good knowledge of PostgreSQL.
• Knowledge of Apache Superset, Clickhouse, dbt
• Experience to collaborate with other internal and external teams involved in application development projects, application maintenance and operations.
• Experience with Airflow, Git
• Experience with data flows configuration using API.
• Basic knowledge of Agile software development processes and practice with Agile tools such as Jira, Confluence.
• Basic Knowledge about ITIL IT Service Management processes like Incident, Problem and Change Management.
• Basic Python skills preferable.
• Good communication skills.
• Good English language skills
