About the Role:
We are looking for an experienced and strategic Head of Industrial Relations to lead and manage all aspects of employee relations, labor negotiations, and compliance with labor laws. The role plays a key part in maintaining a positive working environment, fostering constructive dialogue between management and employees, and ensuring that all HR and industrial relations practices meet regulatory and ethical standards.
Develop and implement the company’s industrial relations strategy, aligned with corporate HR and business objectives;
Maintain effective relationships with employee representatives, trade unions, and government labor authorities;
Manage collective bargaining processes, labor negotiations, and dispute resolutions;
Advise senior management on labor legislation, employment standards, and best practices in employee relations;
Monitor compliance with the Labor Code of the Republic of Kazakhstan and other relevant regulations;
Lead investigations and handle disciplinary and grievance procedures in a fair and consistent manner;
Analyze workforce data and labor trends to proactively identify potential risks and opportunities;
Support initiatives to strengthen employee engagement, workplace culture, and communication channels;
Coordinate with the Legal Department and HR teams to ensure all agreements, policies, and practices are compliant.
Requirements:
Higher education in Law, Human Resources, or related field;
At least 7 years of experience in industrial or employee relations, preferably in a large organization;
Deep knowledge of Kazakhstan labor legislation and regulatory frameworks;
Strong negotiation, communication, and conflict resolution skills;
Fluency in English ,Kazakh and Russian;
Proven ability to work collaboratively with management, employees, and external stakeholders;
Strategic thinking, integrity, and a high level of professionalism.
